1960
Beginning of trading experience as private investor.

1963
Became a client and student of John Magee.

1964-72
Engaged in venture capital investing and market trading while practicing as a systems engineer (installed Saturn Rocket Systems at NASA) and computer company executive (CEO Comptran Computers of Mexico).

1972
Began trading commodity futures with computerized systems.

1973-1984
Was Principal and Vice President of California’s first licensed commodity trading advisor, Commodity Investment Service Inc. Registered with CFTC as CTA having passed appropriate exams. Obtained first permission by Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter, E.F. Hutton, Drexel Burnham to present managed trading programs to their clients and traveled widely across the country giving seminars and lectures for brokers and clients. Originated idea of commodity futures mutual funds and managed some of the first funds with trading partners at CIS. Traded personal and client accounts in futures, oil and venture capital.

1984
Appointed President of Options Research Inc. Founded by Blair Hull of Hull Trading Co of Chicago (largest market maker on the floor of the CBOE) ORI was the first company to computerize the analysis of options and futures. Clients for analytical and portfolio services included among others Morgan Stanley, First Boston, Kidder Peabody and market makers and professional traders in Chicago, New York and San Francisco.

1986-1998
Founded and served as President of Micro Options Research Corp which as joint venture partner of Standard and Poor’s implemented Options Monitoring System on S&P computers with Prudential Securities as its flagship client.

1986
Served as President of OR Capital which managed options arbitrage capital with a brilliant record in the crash of 1987.

1987
Managing Partner Options Research & Trading, Ltd. a market maker with a seat on the PSE.

1995-1998
Designed and built prototype of revolutionary electronic risk control systems aimed at Chinese markets.

1996-2001
Instructor in Finance Dept. University of California Berkeley Extension. Primary subjects: Technical Analysis and VAR. Lecturer on VAR for NYIF in Chile.

1999-Present
Serve as Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Finance and Economics, Golden Gate University.

2007
Appointed Malcom S.M. Watts III Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University.
